Hymns We Sing

is Grace Reformed Church's current hymnal since 2021. The hymnal features 451 hymns, both old and new, selected for their excellence and sound doctrine for use in regular worship and congregational singing.

Acknowledgements

We are first and foremost thankful to God for the completion of this hymnal, for we believe that every work comes to fruition only by His ordaining. We therefore dedicate this hymnal to Him.

Not to forget the means by which we found help, we would like to acknowledge Hymnary.org as our main source of hymnal references and information, through which we were able to research and verify many of the hymn origins in our compilation.

Additionally, we are indebted to the various hymnals we used for cross-checking and textual sourcing, namely the Cyber Hymnal and Trinity Psalter Hymnal. Not to mention the hymn writers of our generation who have made their works freely accessible online, such as Getty Music, Stuart Townend, Church Works Media, and Sovereign Grace Music. Without which, we would not have been able to ascertain our selection's textual integrity.

Of course, we are also grateful for the authors and composers as a whole. Through their gifts, we get to enjoy the fruits of their contemplations on this most timeless and wondrous subject, that of our God and His redemptive plan.

Finally, we are thankful for the various volunteers from GRC who took the time to contribute towards this project, in the spirit of wanting excellence for our Lord.

And thus we rejoice in the completion of this work, Hymns We Sing: a collection of hymns that we have found to be excellent in their meditation of God's eternal Word. So wrote the psalmist, “Oh sing to the LORD a new song!” We likewise hope that this collection inspires a new generation to pour forth their hearts in worship, unceasingly anew.
